The school achieved an overall effectiveness grade of good and was graded as good in all areas of the inspection: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development and leadership and management.
The report highlights many positive aspects of our “caring and inclusive” school, which I believe is important for the pupils and our school community.
The pupils are themselves described as polite, articulate and ready to learn, which is a wonderful acknowledgement of their contribution to the daily life of our school. The report describes the ambitious curriculum we have designed as allowing them to achieve and succeed.
It was pleasing that our “high quality pastoral support” and the work of our SENDCO, in helping teachers and parents/carers to identify and support special educational needs, was recognised.
The inspectors also identified that pupils are taught “how to keep themselves safe”, a key focus of our school ethos and curriculum.
Since the report was published, school leaders have worked with governors on school development planning, which takes account of the report and its recommendations.
