    Year 4 Shine at Orienteering Finals

    Our Year 4 pupils proudly represented Warwickshire in the regional orienteering finals, competing against schools from Coventry and Solihull. The event tested a range of map-based skills, including a challenging course through the woods, where children had to navigate and locate hidden checkpoints. Our team showed outstanding teamwork, determination and perseverance throughout the day. Their hard work paid off with an impressive 3rd place finish! The children were thrilled with their accomplishment, with Annie saying, "This is my biggest achievement!"

    The Year 4 children had a great time at the Pioneer Centre in Staffordshire, on their 3-day residential visit. They took part in a range of activities, including caving, archery, and abseiling.

    School Litter Pick

    Year 3 Leading the Way

    We are incredibly proud of four enthusiastic children—Oscar, Seb, Seb, and Neville—who took the initiative to ask if they could start a weekly litter pick at school. Their dedication to keeping our environment clean and tidy is truly inspiring. Today, they were the first to head out, working hard to clean up our school grounds and set a fantastic example for others. Their commitment to improving our school is something to celebrate, and we look forward to seeing the impact of their efforts each week. Well done, boys!

    The Year 5 children have been enjoying taking part in the RSPB's Big Bird Watch, during their Science lessons.  The children have been making bird feeders, to attract the birds. This week, the classes have been walking the school grounds, recording the number and the variety of birds they have spotted.

    The amazing fundraising efforts of Team Telford have provided pupils with the opportunity to develop their research skills. The Year 4 children have recently been using them to find out about Anglo-Saxon times, during their History lessons.

    Year 3 RSC Visit

    Year 3 had a wonderful trip to Stratford-upon-Avon, for a drama workshop held at the RSC Learning Centre. The workshop was based on their English topic, "A Midsummer Night’s Dream". The children were fully immersed in the world of magic and were able to develop their skills in working with a script. They practised freeze frames and enjoyed a game of Shakespeare Play Station! Theatre staff commented on how polite and respectful the children were, while walking around the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and as they walked to and from Holy Trinity Church. An amazing day was had by all.

    To support Children in Need, children and staff dressed in yellow or wore something spotty, raising funds for the charity. Some costumes were more elaborate than others!
