The opening event of the cross country season took place at Priorsfield Primary School in Kenilworth. After a week of torrential rain, the sun shone and the event went ahead as planned. 

The Year 6 girls' team had a great performance, with five runners finishing in the top twenty, putting them top of the league after one event. The Year 5 boys' team, also produced a great result, with three team members in the top twenty. The Year 5 girls worked very well together and are currently in eighth position.  Archie was our only Year 6 boy runner, meaning we could not enter a team, but he achieved a great result of 23^rd place.

A big thank you to Mrs Woodcock for organising the team on the day, to the parents who took the children along and supported with such enthusiasm and, of course, to the runners who represented the school so well.
