The school enjoyed our celebration of World Book Day, with so many different book character costumes on show.
The staff also had fun, challenging the children to see how many Wallys they could spot.

We are incredibly proud of four enthusiastic children—Oscar, Seb, Seb, and Neville—who took the initiative to ask if they could start a weekly litter pick at school. Their dedication to keeping our environment clean and tidy is truly inspiring. Today, they were the first to head out, working hard to clean up our school grounds and set a fantastic example for others. Their commitment to improving our school is something to celebrate, and we look forward to seeing the impact of their efforts each week. Well done, boys!

The Year 5 children have been enjoying taking part in the RSPB's Big Bird Watch, during their Science lessons. The children have been making bird feeders, to attract the birds. This week, the classes have been walking the school grounds, recording the number and the variety of birds they have spotted.
Times Tables Rockstars is proving to be very successful across all year groups. The children are really enthusiastic and keen to improve their multiplication knowledge using the online tool.
The amazing fundraising efforts of Team Telford have provided pupils with the opportunity to develop their research skills. The Year 4 children have recently been using them to find out about Anglo-Saxon times, during their History lessons.
Year 3 had a wonderful trip to Stratford-upon-Avon, for a drama workshop held at the RSC Learning Centre. The workshop was based on their English topic, "A Midsummer Night’s Dream". The children were fully immersed in the world of magic and were able to develop their skills in working with a script. They practised freeze frames and enjoyed a game of Shakespeare Play Station! Theatre staff commented on how polite and respectful the children were, while walking around the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and as they walked to and from Holy Trinity Church. An amazing day was had by all.
To support Children in Need, children and staff dressed in yellow or wore something spotty, raising funds for the charity. Some costumes were more elaborate than others!
In total, the children raised an amazing £448.27
The Year 6 classes enjoyed their trip to the Tower of London. The weather was kind and the children had a great time. They were particularly impressed by the Crown Jewels! The visit coincided with their curriculum work in the Autumn Term; learning about Rules and Democracy in PSHE, Crime and Punishment in History, The City of London in Geography and reading The Executioner’s Daughter (set in the Tower of London) in English. They also developed their fine drawing skills, producing some wonderful drawings of the Tower of London.
Congratulations to our girls and boys indoor rowing teams, who enjoyed success in this week's inter-school competition.
The Year 4 classes took part in an exciting robotics workshop, tied into their study of Ted Hughes' classic story, "The Iron Man." The pupils explored the themes of creativity and problem-solving, as they built their own robots using LEGO. With the help of iPads, they programmed their creations to mimic the Iron Man’s movements and interactions. This hands-on activity not only enhanced their understanding of the story, but also sparked their interest in engineering and technology. The workshop was a fantastic opportunity for Year 4 to connect literature with technology in an engaging way, inspiring our young learners to think critically and work collaboratively.
Year 3 classes enjoyed Stone Age workshops delivered in school this week by a special visitor, who shared his expert knowledge of Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age times. Following on from these workshops, the classes made hand axes, knapping bars of soap, to replicate the way in which Stone Age people would have made hand axes from flint.
